A Reminder This Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving Fam! It's that time of the year again. Food, family, friends, and fun. No matter our situation in life, there is always something to be grateful for. Gratitude is the foundation of happiness and now is the perfect time to remind ourselves.

The holiday season usually brings laziness and relaxation, but today is the day we change that. Yes, enjoy your holiday season, spend time with those you care about, and do the things that make you happy, BUT never lose your drive. Never lose sight of your goals and what you want to achieve long-term. It's vital we stay on track -- continuously executing positive habits, surrounding ourselves with people who lift us up, and building a growth mindset.

Surrounding Yourself with Better People. Studies have shown that surrounding ourselves with people who are better than us benefit us in mind-blowing ways. These people create support for us in tough times and help us grow as individuals as we are pushed to reach new levels. Those who are better than us inspire us to become better. By learning from them, we can create a positive, long-lasting relationship for years to come.

Executing Positive Habits. Consistently exercising positive habits towards our goals helps us get that much closer to them. It can be simple -- one day at a time. Discipline and drive are part of the equation, but building habits allows us to rely on consistency even on the days we don't feel so hot.

Growth Mindset. What is a growth mindset? It's the understanding that you can improve, achieve more, and have the will to go out and do it.

We have the power to control and change our abilities and perspective for the better. A lot has to do with the content we absorb (read, watch, listen), but also the environment, access to resources, and the mentality we set for ourselves. In the world we live in, each and every one of us can achieve change.

Life is a beautiful thing. It may not be perfect, but it can be pretty amazing when we put in the work, change our perspective, and strive for better.
